Carla B. Neumann, MS, LMFT
Co-Founder and Board President
Carla co-founded Dream Sponsors after a volunteer mission trip to Kenya where she met 5 street orphans, spent time with them and was inspired by their stories. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Wellington, Florida. For the past 22 years, she has worked with both adults and children with various psychological issues. Earlier in her career, she served as Clinical Director for a community mental health facility in Florida. Carla has extensive experience working with foster children who have suffered severe trauma and loss. She has traveled various regions of the world and witnessed deplorable slum living conditions, remote, tribal, rural living and the harsh conditions of those surviving life on the streets of urban areas. During the 2020 pandemic, Carla developed a professional curriculum, composed of a 7-session program with an activity workbook designed to promote female holistic health, healthy self-esteem, menstruation education, boundary setting, assertiveness skills, relaxation strategies and overall inner wellness for females. The My Girl TRIBE™ Program was successfully piloted over a virtual cross-continental learning format and received glowing reviews from the first participants and beneficiaries, a group of women in Dago Village, rural western Kenya.
Roberts Ongus Omolo
Board Treasurer
Roberts Ongus Omolo is a Certified Public Accountant, with over 30 years experience in financial management within the non-profit sector. Currently, Roberts is employed as the Regional Finance Controller for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) with financial oversight for 9 countries in the West African Region. Roberts is also a member of the Advisory Board for World Compassion Fellowship. He has not only been instrumental with budgetary and bookkeeping needs at Dream Sponsors, but has also provided sound advise and valuable cultural knowledge as pertains to Kenya.
Alexandra (Lexy) Sanguinetti
Board Director and Project Consultant
Lexy Sanguinetti is an international travel and business consultant with over 18 years experience facilitating trade, cultural exchange and education between Africa and the United States. She is the founding consultant at Sanguinetti & Company. Through her own personal and professional work, both in East Africa and the USA, Lexy realized and continues to satisfy, a growing demand for her knowledge, creativity and expertise in helping others travel and trade between the two regions. Lexy serves in various capacities at Dream Sponsors, from project consultant to social media manager, she assists on all levels of the organization's operations.
M. Fiston Kahindo
Co-Founder and Board Director
Fiston Kahindo was orphaned at age 8 while living in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His father was murdered and he lost his mother a week later. Fearing for their own lives, Fiston and his brother fled. They walked for almost two months to a neighboring country to seek safety at a refugee camp. Years later, he was able to fulfil his dream of going to school in the USA thanks to the support of an African NGO, a caring family in the USA and several scholarships. Fiston earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in International Business. Currently, Fiston serves as a Human Resources professional for Heifer International, with a background in Talent Acquisitions within the nonprofit sector. As a Global Recruitment Manager, Fiston is responsible for leading the search for global talent to support the mission of Heifer Project International. He also assists in developing and implementing new and revised U.S. and international compensation programs, policies and procedures. Fiston is instrumental in guiding Dream Sponsors' mission. He provides valuable advice, mentorship to the youth and assists with fundraising and other organizational efforts.
Yolanda R. Richards
Board Secretary
Yolanda R. Richards has worked in the human resources field for more than twenty years, most of which have been spent in the nonprofit sector. Currently, she is the Director of Diversity Recruitment at CCS Fundraising, where she is responsible for developing a strategy designed to identify and engage top-tier talent. Prior to joining CCS, Yolanda spent seven years leading talent acquisition at UNICEF USA, a leading humanitarian organization that supports the UN’s efforts to enrich the lives of children worldwide through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States. Yolanda was a Global Recruiter for the International Rescue Committee. In this role, she spearheaded recruitment for positions based in Africa, Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. She also was Director of Human Resources for the Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ), where she established standards for recruiting instructional staff for the HCZ Promise Academy Charter Schools. Yolanda holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Regis University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Morgan State University.
Tom Neumann
Board Director
Tom Neumann is a founding board member of Dream Sponsors. He is owner and licensed insurance agent for the Tom Neumann Allstate Agency in Wellington, Florida since 2006. He is a long-time Rotarian, serving on the board of directors for the Rotary Club of Wellington. He is an active member of local chamber of commerce organizations as well as various networking groups. Tom has been instrumental in fundraising efforts and event planning for the board of Dream Sponsors.

The Kenya Dream Sponsors Advisory Committee is based in Bunyore, Western Kenya. it is composed of indigenous leaders serving in various capacities. The committee members are responsible for distribution of goods and services to our beneficiaries, mentoring of the orphaned youth, fiscal recordkeeping and accountability, project development and co-parenting of youth. The committee has been instrumental in managing dream sponsors programs on the ground and reporting their progress and challenges to the USA Board and individual sponsors since the organization began in 2007.
Meridinah Otuma
Lead Coordinator
Meridinah Otuma has a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management from Kenya Institute of Management. She is currently pursuing a degree (part time) at Kibabii University, after earning sponsorship from Dream Sponsors to further her education. Meridinah conducts most of the school and home visits to address youth needs.
John Richard Imbayi
Secretary
John Richard Imbayi is a trained electrical engineer at National Youth Service and currently the Assistant Chief Administrator for Ebusiloli sub location.
Silas Manyobe
Medical Advisor
Silas Manyobe is a Senior Nursing Officer holding a Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing from Mathare Medical Training College and a Diploma in Community Health Nursing from Kenya Medical Training College. He has over 25 years work experience in his field. He is currently employed with the Ministry of Health as head of one of their facilities.
Rev. Jorum Andayi
Chairman
Chairman, Rev Jorum Andayi worked as an accountant for a tea company for 40 years before retiring. He studied Theology in Canada and is ordained as a Reverend and Pastor with The Church of God.
Nixon Chebuche
Treasurer
Nixon Chebuche holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Human Ecology from Egerton University. He demonstrates a vast knowledge in Agriculture and Rural Sociology as well as Financial Management. He is employed with the Agriculture and Food Authority, a department of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Admona Otuma
Meeting Host
Admona Otuma has been supportive in availing a meeting venue for Dream Sponsors meetings. She provides chairs, tables, lighting, drinking water and a conducive environment for the team to gather and work together. Being a devoted mother and widow, she is well respected in her community and offers a wealth of knowledge to the local team.
